Absolutely a non-economical vehicle. Battery life is very less and the replacement of it will cost more then a petrol scooter's fuel cost. My suggestion: don’t go for it.

Hi, I had a challenge finding out the service center for Ultra Motors as well. However, after atleast 30 calls to people all over India, I was able to locate a "out-sourced" service center that is the only one available. Service center Contact number is : +91-99800-98808.
This is in Bangalore.
Ultra Motor needs to look into this after sales support part.
Else this co becomes another one who could not survive Indian market.

Since the ev's are not very popular in some or many parts of India hence difficulty may be experienced for buying the same. I had purchased a Hero-Ultra Velocity from Aaspiration e-bikes from Pune.1st month it was OK.
But after that,the dealers started showing true colours.My vehicle every week faced the problem of stopping suddenly because the of the failure of the so called Brake Switch.Then after replacing it 4 to 5 times they said the company has stopped giving them those and they have stopped fitting these to other vehicles too.While the other dealer in Pune wasn't.Every fortnight there would be some problem and I had to travel leaving it at home or at the service station.
After 5 months my vehicles batteries failed and the service station started ignoring me so that I come after 6 months and i have to pay for the battery.I realised this after 6 months,but owing to a fight with them they replaced the batteries but gave the vehicle after some 2 weeks saying they were investigating.
Then I went to these people after 11 months for servicing,with some noises from shock-absorbers and same old problem of travelling very low distance in 1 full charge, they did something and gave it to me(At that time itself shock absorbers had gone.).
But when I went after 12 months after the warranty finished,they gave me a whooping quote of 20 thousand for repairing the bike.They were just waiting for the warranty to finish and they bear the least.And to make matters worse they had shifted their showroom without informing us.
So please don't buy this so called e-bike,atleast from the Aaspiration e-bikes in Pune.

I was Purchase velocity on 30/6/2008, at that time dealer are not showing actual battery life that is only 300 cycle. After one year my velocity's kilometer is only 7900 and battery is down, dealer’s say’s that “this is not new problem of your vehicle, it is general average of velocity battery Please purchase new battery, and it is only 7500 Rs". It is ford for me that I was purchase velocity in 38000 and after only one year I have to purchase new battery in 7500 and this is routing for every year, every year
Hi to all, We have purchased 2 nos of Hero Ultra( now they split into ultra and hero) Velocities as they said very good stories to us. They said battery lasts for 300 cycles i.e. 300*40 kms= 12000 kilometers. But surprisingly batteries gone after 5000 kilometers. And they are denieing to replace the batteries and asking us to pay the full amount of Rs:9000/- for each vehicle.
If we calculate the running cost( where they are telling less than 10 paisa)
9000/5000 = Rs:1.80 + electricity charge Around 20 paisa per kilometer will cost around Rs: 2/-per kilometer is much costlier than any 2 two wheeler.Besides to that there is no proper response form the company in this regard. No resale value for the Evs. So I m asking all people better not to buy elecrtic vehicles particularly Ultra vehicles.if any one want to know all the problems about this vehicle pl mail me call me to 98491-98451once before buying this vehicles. Many spare parts are from chine, they are very poor in quality. Foot mats, Throttle, Head light Switch,Stand, Batteries ,Handle Bar yoke, Charger, were replaced in 1 year, Then you understand how poor quality products were being used in this.
So, better dont go for ultra vehicles, or call to me before you buy the vehicle

I rode this bike at a dealer .. nice pick upp and top speed of 50 km/hr which is really good !
But the only reason i didnt settle for this bike is because it is very puny, and if the overall make is kind of plasticky and cheap.
The average range should be around 50 kms tho the dealer says it ll churn out some 10 kms more, but considering the fact that you cannot fully drain the batteries(very bad for them ..will hamper the overall charge cycles and stuff!) your range would be around 40 kms which is really no good unless you are driving around your house in circles.
pros :of course is speed .
cons : everything else.
PS: it is a product made under collaberation of hero and ultra so its kind of a hand off material.. if you are looking for a speedy e bike ultra may release one soon fully manufactured by themselves ..so wait for it!

Your design is not correct for back wheel. If tyre got punctured one has to open the wheel with motor. This is not correct system. Only tyre rim should be opend for repair.
